Hoobing is a non-intermediary search engine, by means of this website the user can visit the official website of the hotel by clicking on the link included in each technical datasheet.

Unlike many portals, who act as intermediaries in the booking processes carried out between the final user and the hotel, Hoobing offers direct access to the hotel website, with the aim to boost overall online sales of the official site. Besides, we display contact details of the hotel so the user can easily locate the chosen spot.

Content management and supervision. We at Hoobing have prepared a private area for our hotels, in this area hotels can safely update all information related to their establishment: description, pictures, URL, RSS offers, types of rooms, location, etc. The more updates the content is, the more options the hotel has to get additional traffic on their website, therefore increasing their conversion rates.

Hotel Indexation. Thanks to the different “hotel typologies” we have created – Business Hotels, Boutique Hotels, Mountain Hotels, Charming Hotels, etc.- the hotel can index itself in the best way possible on Hoobing.com. Likewise, Hoobing users can also filter their search processes according to the type of hotels they prefer.

Hotel search according different criteria. We have prepared a range of tools to facilitate Hoobing users to pinpoint their preferred hotels: search by country, by hotel name, by type, by services offered by the hotel. Besides, we have included an interactive map by means of which users can preview the different cities hosting Hoobing hotels.

Stay receipt request. With the purpose to check the veracity of the reviews received by registered users, we request the said to provide a stay receipt, once the pertinent verifications are carried out, the Hoobing Helpdesk department validates those reviews. Those comments not backed by a Stay receipt will be displayed as well but we will point clearly that the user has not certified his/ her stay at that hotel.

Communication with users. Not only Hoobing users can post comments about hotels. Registered hotels can also send replies reply any comment posted about them through their private area. In this manner, both hotels and customers can benefit from this interaction.

Global scope. At Hoobing we guarantee the largest international scope, this makes possible to reach the maximum number of traveler possible.

How does Hoobing guarantee the reliability of the comments provided by users?

We request our users to provide a stay receipt for any comment or review on the hotel in question. Thanks to our Helpdesk department, a very strict control is carried out to check if the said users effectively stayed at those hotels. In the case of comments posted by users who have not provided a Stay Receipt, these comments will be displayed but he/she will not be able to apply for points and prizes. This will be noticeable on the comments and reviews section of each hotel: we give priority to the comments from those users who bothered to provide a Stay Receipt over the posting of those who did not.

What does Hoobing accept as a Stay Receipt?

Any document proving that the user effectively stayed at the hotel is deemed valid by our Helpdesk department: a booking receipt (displaying the name of the registered user), an invoice (under the name of the user) and/or multimedia content (pictures and videos shot in the private areas of the hotel).

Hoobing.com is effective, isn’t it?

Yes, we aimed all our efforts to design user friendly navigation, and to boost the visibility of hotels to the maximum within Hoobing.com. In this sense users will be able to easily search and find the desired information, and to organize it according to different criteria: popularity, stars, reviews, category, or randomly. Likewise we have included an RSS Feed so the users can save the best offers from the different hotels.

Hoobing displays both brief and extended datasheets: name, stars, main picture and video and photo gallery, prices, contact details, location, how to get there, reviews and direct link to the official website both on the brief and extended datasheet.

Finally, with the aim to offer information related to the search process and destination selected by the user, Hoobing also includes tourism blogs, where the user will be able to check all he/she needs to complete his/her travel plan.

How can I register with Hoobing?

Can I modify my hotel details on Hoobing.com?

Of course yes. If you go to the private area of our hotels, the hotel can add and/or edit any information included in our databases. Thus the hotel is responsible to manage its content on Hoobing.com.

Why is it good to include my RSS offers address in the datasheet of my hotel?

We just added this field so that Hoobing users can quickly subscribe to special offers from hotels included on Hoobing.com. Thus, the hotel has an additional channel to inform about its most current offers and news.

Why do I have to select any of the keywords listed on the online registration process?

The use of keywords is a key factor to get optimum results from the search processes carried out by users. If a user searches for hotels in the centre of Barcelona, those hotels complying with these requests will appear in the first places, ahead of other entities located in the outskirts of the city.

How is the field “Tourist Destination” useful and what do I have to enter in it?

We created this field for all those hotels wishing to add names of other destinations where they are located, independently of the city where they are sited. For example, a hotel located in Playa del Carmen (Mexico) can also include Riviera Maya in the field “Tourist Destination”, or a hotel located in Edinburgh can also enter Scotland in the said field.

Why do I have to define the channel manager my hotel uses?

We, at Hoobing, are aware that the Price is one of the key factors in the process of purchase. For this reason, Hoobing has integrated its system in the main pricing platforms like Rate Tiger, Travelclick’s Channel Direct, and EZ Yield. Hotels will be able to update their inventory quick and easy, communicating Hoobing users their availability and prices. Unlike most booking portals, Hoobing does not manage the inventory of the hotel, it is the user who will visit the official website of the hotel and carry out the booking process.
